February 2000 to present: Computer Dynamics, Freeport, IL. Network configuration and installation (Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Small Business Server and Windows NT Server). Service and support PC operations for a variety of Computer Dynamics small business customers in the Freeport area and northwest Illinois.
December 2000 to February 2001: Spherion Technology, contracted to Conseco Insurance in Rockford, IL. Assisted with a PC rollout. Configured and installed Windows 98 client PCs and software in a mixed Novell/Windows NT, mixed ethernet/token ring environment.
August 2000 to November 2000: Manpower Professional, contracted to Advanced Technology Services. On site technician at the Caterpillar Agricultural Products plant in DeKalb, IL. Working closely with the local IS department, I serviced and configured a variety of PCs (clone, IBM, HP), laptops (Toshiba, HP and IBM), servers (HP and Compaq) and printers (primarily HP LaserJet) and troubleshot software (Windows NT, MS Office, IBM Personal Communications terminal emulation) in a Windows NT and Windows 2000 environment.
July 1997 to January 2000: Vanstar (became Inacom) Field Engineer
- Responsible for maintaining 600+ PCs, laser printers and Compaq servers in three different locations at the Freeport, IL office of St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance.
- Assisted St. Paul's local Field Automation Support Team as required.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting, imaging and configuring PCs.
- Outside service calls across northwest Illinois but primarily in the Rockford area.
August 1992 to July 1997: technician for Lameyer's Computer Center, Freeport, IL. Head technician from June 1993 to July 1997.
- Set up, diagnosed and serviced clone, Magnavox, Packard-Bell, IBM, Zenith, Epson and other microcomputers, and Citizen, Panasonic and other printers.
- Set up Lantastic networks.
- Configured, tested and installed new systems.
- Phone support for users at all levels of expertise.
- Handled warranty paperwork, part ordering and returns.
- Responsible for maintaining the store LAN and for maintaining backups.
July 1991 to July 1992: technician for Numericomp, Inc., Rockford, IL.

- Ordered, quoted and sold parts.
- Tested and installed new systems.
- Eliminated an infestation of the Michelangelo computer virus
- Set up a periodic virus checking procedure for the company.
