Ongoing Projects
Kids Tech Talk An ongoing project to inform the community about how technology is used in each of the schools in the district. Students 1st through 12th grade write a short article for the newspaper on what they are doing in class utilizing technology. Each building and a different grade level takes a week during the month.  A Kids Tech Talk article can be found every week in the local newspaper, The Echo and we have been invited to include their articles in theProphetstown Main Street publication.. Technology Showcase
Each year two of the buildings host the Technology Showcase to show what is being done with technology in each building and at each grade level. Students present their class technology projects. Prophetstown High School also includes the technology projects in their spring Academic Showcase as well as at the two buildings hosting the Technology Showcase.
Technology Plan The District Technology Plan is up for renewal at the end of this school year. I am working with the District Technology Team to plan for the next 3-5 years and update the Technology Plan. I am also a Technology Plan Peer Reviewer.  We are working on interactive distance learning and individualizing learning opportunities for our students through Class.com and other distance learning opportunities.  An online summary of the Technology Plan is being planned. School Library Media Program Plan
We are currently working on retrospective conversion of our libraries to automate all four buildings. Our SLM Program Plan highlights our work towards improving the School Library Media Center and instruction in information access to prepare students for their future in an electronic information-based society.
