1.) "Put Zen In Your Life" A look at Buddhism. Most people do not know that Buddhism does not expect people to be only Buddhists. Buddhism has often been called a philosophy for that reason, but it is a deep, spiritual contemplation of life and love that is both in us and around us, or the concept of God is in all things, if you would. We will study the Philosophy of Impermanence, the Three Jewels: The Buddha, The Dharma, and the Sangha; the history of Buddhism including the Four Noble Truths, and the 5 Buddhist Precepts as presented by Master Thich Nhat Hanh. We will engage in two types of Buddhist meditation.
2.) "Ancient Wisdom" Religion in Ancient Cultures. We will study the Essenes (Early Christianity), Hinduism, Paganism, Siberian Shamanism, and Native American Cultures. We will experience a drumming meditation, Hindu Chanting and song as celebration, and a Pagan (Celtic) Ritual.
3.) "Sacred Ceremony and Traditions" There
are two parts to this class offering. The morning class will involve
a deep look at what, why, and how ceremonies in various traditions evolved
and are performed, including Baptism, Marriage, and Transition Rituals
including Last rites, Wakes, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, and The Funeral
as a ceremony of life. The Second Part of this class is dedicated
to those who wish to serve as Healing Ministers. A Healing Minister
is one who serves the Universe in their private healing practice, and may
also choose to visit hospitals or those in need. Counseling techniques
will be discussed. We will share with you our own personal multi-denominational
ceremonies that you are free to use in your own ministerial practice, whether
you choose to legally
establish your own church (we offer contacts in our state),
serve when called, or remain a part of our Haven Church of St. Charles,
Illinois.
PASTORAL CERTIFICATION: Offered upon completion of all of the above courses. Pastor must declare their area of service, as well as the spiritual focus or major intention of their multidenominational church. Also one book is required reading from your focus or major of intention. All Pastors must agree in principle to four of the five "Wonderful Precepts" p.24-25 of Reiki Mystery School, and to the "Code of Ethics" from Reiki A Torch In Daylight, p. 116-117, whether they are Reiki or not. That is the foundation of belief for our Church and for those Pastors there by certified in the healing ministry. Hands On Ordination Ceremony is performed.
WHY CERTIFICATION IS OFFERED: To keep the doors open. We receive frequentcalls and letters from individuals who are being restricted by state or local laws concerning their healing practice. In the earlier days of hands-on healing, healers often became spiritual leaders.
Cost of this training is $250.00
