Lots of them!

Oh, and wildflowers too. One of my favorite things! But spring came a month early here in Illinois - and then sort of worked its way backwards. It started off all warm and sunny, like the end of spring, and ended all cold and wet like the beginning. Still, I DID get some nice wildflower pics...

For me, wildflowers are little love notes from God. "See! I AM real! And I AM goodness and light!"


Anyway!


Since my "adventure" with cancer (TWELVE years ago.... WHOO-HOO!), I have not been able to work (other than here!), and Dani has been our breadwinner. She has been doing the early morning news on the local radio station here since, well, forever. But unfortunately, small town radio doesn't pay enough to live on these days, so she is working a second job, evenings at a nursing home in a neighboring town. But together that's still barely enough to cover our basic bills (insurance? What's that???). So whatever comes in from my work here is what we are basically living on... food... gas... toilet paper...

And it seems there are always a few days in there between paychecks when we have no cash at all (like, the couch cushions have been mined dry!).
