Fifteen children. The last one was born after James died. His second wife survived
him by 55 years. He had moved from South Carolina to Monroe County Indiana by 1838.
We found no graves in Indiana. Esther McCrery's maternal grandmother was Margaret
Douglass, from Chester County, South Carolina. The only Glenn in Chester County in
the 1800 Census was a John Glenn.

The 1840 Census of Monroe County, Indiana indicated that Nancy was then between 20
and 30, and that there were four children living with them: a boy under 5, a boy
between 10 and 15, a girl between 5 and 10, and a girl between 15 and 20.
3,1a Robert Kennedy Nelson GLENN (8/10/1839-9/21/1903) m. 2/9/1865 Esther Elizabeth McCRERY
(8/24/1845-11/6/1924), Robert was born in Monroe County, Indiana, Esther in Warren
County, Illinois (Her ancestors are buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery, two miles north
of Little York, Illinois.) When Robert was just ten years old his father died, and
when he was fifteen he was left to care for his mother, his five younger siblings,
and the family's Indiana farm. Their farm, from 1870 on, was in Section 32 of Rozetta
Township, Henderson County, Illinois, 1.75 miles south of Highway 164, west of Highway 94.
Robert and Esther are buried in South Henderson Cemetery, between Gladstone and Biggsville.
